One Tacoma Team, Seven Counties
Our office is at 5324 84th St E in Tacoma, and every job we take on runs out of it. You do not have to drive to us. We come to your home, inspect the roof, and hand you a free written estimate that explains what we found in plain language. If a repair will do the job, we tell you that instead of selling you a new roof.
Storms do not keep business hours, so we tarp roofs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Because we are based in Tacoma, arrival time depends on where you live in our service area. When you call, we will tell you honestly when we can be there.

Roof Repair, Replacement, and Emergency Help Wherever You Live
The work we do is the same in Lacey as it is in Lakewood. Most calls start with a leak, a run of wind-lifted shingles, or failed flashing, and that is exactly what our roof repair service is built for. When a storm puts water in your house, emergency roof repair and our roof tarping service stop the damage first, then we come back for the permanent fix.
If the roof is past saving, we handle
roof replacement and re-sheets, including new decking where the old sheathing has rotted. We install GAF, IKO, and Owens Corning shingle systems and register the manufacturer warranty on every qualifying job. We also work on
standing seam metal roofs, low slope sections, cedar shake, tile, skylights, and
gutters and downspouts.
After storm damage, we photograph and document everything, meet your adjuster on site during the damage walk, and provide roof certifications when a claim or home sale requires one. We build
decks and
fences too.
Cities and Towns We Serve, County by County
Pierce County
Pierce County is home, and most of our work happens here. We serve Tacoma, Lakewood, Gig Harbor, Puyallup, and University Place, along with Bonney Lake, Sumner, South Hill, and Spanaway. Gig Harbor homeowners are a short trip across the Tacoma Narrows Bridge from our office. Asphalt shingle is the most common roof in the county, and moss on shaded, north-facing slopes is one of the most common reasons a Pierce County roof starts to fail early.
South King County
Just north of the county line, we serve Federal Way, Kent, and Auburn. These neighborhoods sit a short drive up I-5 and SR 167 from Tacoma, close enough that a South King County estimate is as easy for us to schedule as one in Puyallup.
Thurston County
South on I-5, we serve homeowners in Olympia, Lacey, and Rochester. Thurston County gets the same long, wet winters as the rest of the South Sound, so the problems we look for are the same ones we fix across the region: failed flashing, worn vent boots, and leaks that show up after the first heavy rain of the season.
Kitsap County
Across the Narrows on SR 16, we serve Port Orchard and Bremerton. Many Kitsap homes sit under tall evergreens, which means needles in the gutters, moss on the shingles, and the occasional branch through the roof after a windstorm. We handle all three, from cleaning and moss treatment to emergency tarping.
The Olympic Peninsula
We also travel to Sequim, Port Angeles, and Port Townsend. These are the longest drives in our service area, so call ahead and we will set a time for your inspection that works for both of us. Every estimate is free and written, the same as it is in Tacoma.
Kittitas County
East over Snoqualmie Pass on I-90, we serve Ellensburg and Cle Elum. Winters there are colder and snowier than on the west side, so we pay close attention to how snow and ice sit at the eaves, valleys, and flashing when we inspect a roof or plan a replacement.
Snohomish County
At the north end of our service area, we serve Everett. If you live between Everett and Tacoma and do not see your town listed, call us and we will tell you whether we can reach your home.
Licensed and Insured in Washington
Canyon Roofing Northwest is a licensed and insured Washington roofing contractor. Our owners, Joshua and Colette Massey, run the company day to day. Joshua has more than 25 years in roofing, and his father, Dave Massey, brings more than 40 years of experience as our production manager. That experience is on every roof we work on, whether it is down the street from our office or on the far side of the Sound.

Service Area Questions We GET THE Most
Do you serve my town if it is not listed on this page?
Possibly. The cities above are where we work most often, but we cover the surrounding communities in each county too. Call (253) 401-1930 with your address and we will tell you right away whether we can get to you. If your home is outside our area, we will say so instead of making you wait.
Do you charge extra to come out to outlying areas?
Estimates are free and written everywhere we work, including the Olympic Peninsula and Kittitas County. Any cost tied to your job is spelled out in the estimate before work starts, so there are no surprises on the invoice.
How fast can you get to me in a roofing emergency?
We answer emergency calls and tarp roofs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Because our team is based in Tacoma, arrival time depends on where you live, and we do not promise a time we cannot keep. When you call, we give you an honest estimate based on your location and the storm conditions, then come back to make the permanent repair.
Can you help with my insurance claim outside Pierce County?
Yes. We document storm damage with photos, meet your insurance adjuster on site during the damage walk, and provide roof certifications in every county we serve. We cannot promise what your insurance company will approve, but you will have a clear record of what happened and what it takes to fix it.
Do I need a permit to replace my roof?
It depends on your city or county. Reroofing permit rules differ across Washington, and what Tacoma requires may not match what Olympia or Everett requires. We confirm the requirements for your address before work starts.

Get Your Roof Checked Before the Next Storm
A small leak in the fall can become a ceiling repair by winter. Wherever you live in our service area, we will inspect your roof, show you what we found, and give you a free written estimate. Our office is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with weekend appointments available and emergency tarping around the clock.
